The Challenge:
Part of their franchisee support program included continual visits to the franchise location by field operations personnel and the president of the company, Mr. Robert Kadlovski. The organization had grown to over twenty locations spread over a five hundred kilometer (three hundred mile) distance. The time between visits was increasing and Mr. Kadlovski began to feel as if he was losing touch with his franchisees. He approached the Canadian Network Systems Group, Ontario to help find a solution.

The Solution:
Enter DETEXI software. By installing the IP addressable Axis servers combined with PTZ and static mount cameras, Mr. Kadlovski and the management personnel are able to virtually visit every location in the organization at any time, in any weather and in any traffic condition within seconds. While nothing can replace direct human interaction, they are now able to use the support staff in a more efficient and cost-effective way by combining virtual visits with less frequent physical visits.
Each morning the support staff performs a virtual tour of all locations looking for ways to help the stores be more profitable by ensuring that suppliers are keeping the displays full and that the marketing strategies outlined in the store plan-o-grams are being implemented. Things like customer traffic flow can be monitored from the comfort of their office, home or from anywhere in the world they can access the Internet. This reduces the need for expensive third party surveys and provides Nicholby’s with real time inf ormation that can be acted upon immediately!
By implementing a DETEXI Enterprise System, individual franchise owners are also able to keep an eye on their investments from afar. The DETEXI server tracks who is using the system and gives each user predefined rights to individual cameras such as the ability to control a PTZ camera; record video information to a central archive or to their local PC; turn lights in the store on or off; and much more.
