DETEXI Personal Edition is an all-inclusive solution designed for individuals.
In the Personal Edition configuration DETEXI works in a Stand-Alone mode.
Stand-Alone mode supports all functionality of a Client-Server mode but in Stand-Alone mode the end user has access
to all camera settings and acts as an administrator as well.

DETEXI General Mode Settings
Online Recording defines the format in which the recorded live video files are saved
- JPEG the recorded video files are saved in jpx format – a stream of jpeg frames
- AVI the recorded video files are saved in raw avi format that can be played on any video player
(larger file size)
On Archive Play effects how the video will play when you retrieve them from the archive
- Resize Picture allows to change the shape of the image
- Minimize on Alt-key (yes) program goes to the System Tray when you press ALT key,
- Indicate Motion highlights the motion of an object within the picture
- Always Show Live on multi-screen, keeps all cameras connected on multi-screen
- Can overwrite Previous Alarm always bring up new alarm windows (even if the
previous alarm window is still on the screen)
- Version Checking checks if the current version needs to be updated between checking
Central Storage Setup defines the parameters for the archive in Client-Server mode (on the server)
- Storage Directory defines full path
- Package Size (in minutes) defines time interval
Central Server defines the server parameters for the Client-Server mode
- Address defines IP address
- Port 0 (default) defines standard HTTP
- Proxy defines proxy address, if access through proxy
- Proxy Port 0 (default) defines standard HTTP
- Encrypt Images (checked) information between Client and Server flows fully encrypted
No Sound Card if checked, suppresses the sound, even from cameras with an attached sound module
Maximum FPS (on multi-cameras screen) defines how many frames will be shown on the multi-screen (useful in case the incoming traffic from all the cameras is too high)
Alarm Port to Listen defines which port the client will listen to in order to pop up an alarm. If "0", client will not listen to the port at all
Cameras Database Location
- Local Directory (checked) the client software will search for the camera database in the directory defined next to the checkbox
DETEXI Cameras Settings
Add adds a new camera to the cameras list
Change changes the camera settings for the camera chosen from the list
Delete deletes a camera chosen from the list
Save accepts the changes
Groups List if activated the ADD, DEL and Save keys modify Groops List
Camera Address Settings defines major camera information
- Name name you wish to assign the camera
- Type, sets the camera type and version
- Address defines IP address of the camera
- Port 0 (default) defines standard HTTP for use if you have the camera mapped
- Size (for AXIS cameras only) choose: full size (default), huge size, half size
- W/fps write frames per second – 30 (default)
Proxy Server (if access through Proxy)
- Type, choose: direct (default), UseDefault, Named Proxy
- Address defines IP address of the Proxy Server
- Port 0 (default) defines standard HTTP
Control
- Fast the camera will be moved according to the Degree setting within the Fine Control
- Smart the application will calculate the angles that the camera has to move to center on the
point you selected
- Position on Close (for JVC cameras only) choose: none (default), 1-10 Preset Position
- Light on Close (if camera has a light control) choose: OFF (default), ON or Leave to
determine the action of the lights when you leave
- Limits (for AXIS cameras only) sets the camera maximum angles of movement, according
to the technical specification
MUX Controls (to control multiplexer)
- MUX Type choose: None or type of an attached multiplexer
- Port choose: None (default), Com1, Com2, Com3, Com4
- For Camera choose: 1-4 camera port that has control
Download Images
- Frames per Second defines requested FPS from the camera
Sub-Cameras Info
- Active (checked) sub-camera will be shown to the user
- PTZ (checked) user can control the sub-camera
- Name name of the sub-camera
- Max FPS requested FPS from the sub-camera
Security Settings DETEXI has three levels of access protected by a user name and password (each web camera has three-level password protection in its own built-in operating system that can be changed from DETEXI as well)
- User Level (User Name, User Pwd)
- Operator Level (Control Name, Control Pwd)
- Administrator Level (Admin Name, Admin Pwd)
Search Settings setting up the Region of Interest for the motion detection function. If a Region of Interest is specified, the program is informed when there is movement within the specified area. This creates an easy to search VIDEO ARCHIVE, based on detected movement only. The control of the Roughness and Sensitivity level gives the opportunity to exclude small image changes such as blowing leafs or shadow movements
- Region of Interest draw rectangle around the area
- Cam No. (if more than one video connection), choose: 1, 2, 3, 4 to set each camera Region
of Interest
- R (position on the scroll bar) defines the Roughness level chosen (0-100), tune the roughness
of the movement that will be detected
- S (position on the scroll bar) defines the Sensitivity level chosen (0-10), tune the sensitivity
of the movement that will be detected
