Get All the Benefits of IP-Surveillance
On old VCR systems (analog), surveillance staff would have to change tapes frequently, and over time, the VCR heads got dirty and distorted the images.

Digital search and retrieval functions are much faster with just a click of the mouse. The images are clearer, too, making it easier to review the recordings. However, you can still benefit from the advantages of CNSG solutions if you have a traditional analog video surveillance system.

DETEXI can work in either Stand-Alone mode or in Client-Server mode. The difference is how and where the information of the users’ ID, passwords, rights to access cameras, cameras’ settings and recorded video are stored and processed.

In the Client-Server mode, the end user has no access to the setup functions. The server administrator maintains all camera settings and security procedures. In the Stand-Alone mode the end user has access to all camera settings and acts as the administrator.

In the Client-Server mode DETEXI authenticates the user to the Central Server by the User ID and Password. DETEXI receives the camera database from the server and connects to the site(s) that the user is authorized to view. DETEXI sends a connection request to each highlighted site, waits for a response and retrieves live video. The user can view an unlimited number of cameras at the same time, but it is reasonable to limit groups to 16 locations at a time.

How to Control the Camera (Camera Control Functions)

To activate the site choose a camera location and Control Keys keyboard become accessible. If a camera is associated with a multiplexer the user gets additional controls that are provided by the multiplexer.

How to Investigate Alarm
DETEXI plays the message received from the NVR Server, adds (or replaces) the message in the Alarm Notification Box.
You can investigate an alarm by selecting the alarm event line in the Alarm Notification Box. When you select an alarm event line you will see the information pertaining to the site. Get Site button brings up the camera connected to the selected alarm event, pops up the site where the alarm occurred.
